Value moves.
Movement leaves records

Blockchain & On-chain Forensics has run on this domain since 2018, when forensic investigation of on-chain transactions, with the historical chronology of each movement, read as a curiosity. It now reads as a restitution tool. Value taken through a scheme rarely disappears; it moves, from wallet to wallet, through intermediaries, across jurisdictions, and every movement is written into public ledgers that do not forget. The work is tracing that movement from origin to endpoint and building the record to a standard a court can rely on. The line serves institutions, funds and counsel, and it serves individuals, because the chain does not distinguish between a large claimant and a small one. This is the line the others converge on.

The method

01The chronology

On-chain analysis usually begins with a fragment: a transfer someone noticed, an address someone was given. The line begins earlier and ends later. Every movement is reconstructed in order, from the first transfer out to the last known position, each step dated, each amount stated, each address placed in context. The order matters as much as the content, because a story with gaps is an invitation to doubt, and the other side in any proceeding looks for the gap before it looks at anything else. A chronology that runs unbroken from loss to endpoint leaves doubt nowhere to sit. That completeness is the product; the individual transfers are only its raw material.

02The perimeter

Value that is being hidden does not travel in a straight line. It splits, merges, passes through intermediaries built to obscure it, and moves across jurisdictions faster than any formal process can follow. The tracing follows anyway. Each hop is recorded, each split accounted for, until the value reaches an endpoint that someone answers for: an exchange with an operator, an intermediary with an address for service, a position that can be named in a proceeding. Not every path reaches such a point, and no honest practitioner promises that it will. But many do, because value is only useful to the person holding it once it comes back within reach of the systems people actually use.

03The handover

Mulium prepares the record; it does not argue it in court. The exhibits are assembled for a reader who was never in the room: every item hashed at creation, dated to a standard a third party can rely on, attributable to its source, with every inference kept separate from the facts that support it. Formal steps, filings, applications, proceedings, are carried out by the client's own licensed professionals, with whom Mulium coordinates, and the file is built so that counsel can stand on it without reservation. The quality of that handover decides how much of the record survives contact with the proceeding, which is why it is treated as part of the work rather than an afterthought.

For individuals

Not every matter arrives on letterhead. If you are one person who has lost money to a fraud, an investment scheme, or a counterparty that simply stopped answering, you are not too small to write. Value taken through a scheme rarely disappears. It moves, and movement leaves records.

Some of the largest matters on record began with a single individual who wrote down, plainly, what had happened. State the matter in writing, with dates, amounts and whatever you still hold. Cases are reviewed individually, and answered either way.

If value you held has been moved through a scheme, the record of where it went can still be built. State the matter in writing; it is reviewed individually, and answered either way.
